So what qualities are the photos going to be judged on? quality of the photo? the animal in the photo? style? capturing the personality of the animal? etc etc

i have so many i need help narrowing it down!

also, i assume amphibs are included in this yes?

Basicly the finalists will be judged on.. well, just being a good picture! The finalists will then be put forward for the public vote so it will be up to RFUK viewers. Future cometitions will have themes etc but this is a free for all.

Yes, any picture you have. As long as it is owned and taken by you.

cool, this is so hard!! but a really good idea! also i think in future we should have an aquatics one too, like for fish etc (just cause i have a waterproof camera so i have a headstart!! lol)

Do you not think there will be bias placements when it comes down to judging? Ie he likes her so hes gonnae get all his friends to vote for her etc etc etc. W e all know there are little cliques on RFUK...

I think it would perhaps be a good idea to make submission anonymous. But how would you do that?

but thats not the only prob, thing is, there are a lot more snake lovers here than lizard ect, so when you have one like this, the snake lovers tend to vote for snake, lizard lovers lizards ect so basicall i would be extrealmy shocked if a snake did not win, its just the majority unfortunatly. and then yes, some peep will vote for their friends too. but that they way it always is in things like these. lol still didnt stop me entering tho (and i have a lizard n no friends on here so guess i'm stuffed pmsl)

anonymous would be a good idea, but prob is it would be more hassel for t-bo, which i think he could do without. Just think of it like i do, its just a bit of fun and an excuse to show off all those hundreds of pics i've taken lol

Anonymous is difficult as well, especially for those of us with well known/not commonly kept animals. I have already broached the subject of possible 'vote' rigging/favoutism (sp) and suggested the forum gets to vote on the final ten and an independent judge or judges pick the top 3 but in their wisdom they have gone with the mods team picks top ten then we vote on final 3.

Hope it all runs smoothly though and my fears are proven groundless.
