yawning would be hard for me for ATM i have no snakes and lizards yawn quite quick plus i dont think newts even do. If they did they'd probably swalow a load of water

I think the holiday themes are quite good, it gives you a chance to get a variety of pictures. I've found with the feeding one this month that it's lacking originality (not meant in a way to offend people, the photos are good), i just mean they're pretty much alll the same, and the majority are of snakes eating mice. Once you've seen one, you've kinda seen them all.
We should go back to other themes =)

You could have like a mothers day theme of mom reptiles and there
hatchlings and eggs For normal theme you could have rainbow: loads of brightly coloured reptiles

like tbo said before, in the wild its uncommon, but ye, the more variety of pics, the better.

I think we're just going to have to accept the fact that not everyone will be able to enter every months competition. Honestly, I wouldnt feel put out if there was an amphibian month or anything like that - rather, I think it would be nice to dedicate a month to the "minorities" (no offence intended, Im sure you all know what I mean)!
Which brings me back to macro theme  I seriously doubt I would enter it as I dont have any decent macro shots and my DSLR is STILL awaiting a new charger, but I do love the pics that people manage to pull off using it.
