I always find it soooo difficult choosing a pic for the final 10........ What i Do do is bare in mine that not everyone has fab cameras but everyone can have a good eye for the composition of the pic, and in this I looked for someone who had put lots of thought in to the Habitat they had provided for their Animal.

I would never choose a finalist because i was a friend of theirs, and i find the implication that any of us would do that very insulting to be honest.

Have to agree-the mods are not biased!!! I know a couple of them and both times I have entered I have not made the final. AND WHY NOT WOHIC AND TRICEY
Reason being other peeps pics were better than mine. Simple. This one was really good inspiring me on viv decor and was sooo hard to vote for!
So next month I try again, its a laugh and if I won great but more likely I won't. Lighten up.

But it's the 'picture of the month' competition lol, so to me that just means the best picture of the habitat rather than the best habitat... I also thought the spider's habitat did look cool & interesting

My thoughts exactly!

I was in the top 10 of the October comp & was told I'd be sent a book. I picked one from a list and have never received anything - I didn't come on the forums spitting dummies though , it's a fun competition and people should just take it for what it is! All the pics that are in the final deserve it so congratulations to all!

Some great entrants this month!!!

Neil, your viv stack is very impressive, however regarding picture of the month it would have been better if you had focused into the actual environment that the spiders live in, rather than the framework!

Well hey I like all the setups! but neeps one striked me as different and what I want mine to be like

I thought my setup was pretty good for a first time of me setting up a taod tank! but I shoulda posted a more up to date picture of my setup without the excessivie mounds of moss and my life plants

But hey I dont feel upset or negelected that i didnt make the final just happy for those that did as the habititats entered have had more work put into them and have so much thought on them I couldnt dream of doing anything like that

So congrats everyone but in end of feb ill be doing all my vivs an terras out and hopefully getting the ideals setup !

Iv already looked up landscaping for outback in australia for a BD an pakistan places for Leos and now looking for chineese rivers for my FBTS!

Anyway its not about me its about the finalists so good all again

Sam

Crickey, I entered the parrot one just because the competition was for exotics. I am thrilled it made it to the top ten but I do understand that being a reptile forum obviously peoples enthusiasm is for their reptiles.

Perhaps I should have just stuck to my beardies or Chams enclosure instead but the competition is fun and I enjoy entering and seeing everyone elses great photo's.
