I wish to make it clear that I now fully accept that that at no time has Tamie Milne ever received any form of payment whatsoever from the Tortoise Trust and that I apologise without reservation for ever claiming that she had. I was mistaken and I deeply regret the distress I caused by making the remarks in question. Tamie understakes her rehoming work on an entirely voluntary, unpaid basis, a fact that I no longer dispute in any way. I also apologise to the Tortoise Trust for the distress and inconvenience caused by my remarks
