As there seems to be confusion surrounding the sale of tortoises which require Article 10 Certificates would all sellers please read the following:

Anyone who is in doubt as to whether they have the correct certificate to sell on their tortoise(s) should contact DEFRA whose contact details can be found on the above link. Please do this before you place your classified ad.

i have recently purchased a tortoise and phone DEFRA today about sending off the article 10 to have it put in my name, to be told I only need to send the paperwork off unless i want to sell him on or breed from him.
