I'm so pleased... you must be over the moon

Don't wait though... up his temps in his table straight away! Aim for 33/34 under the basking area and 22/23 in the cold end.

I would'nt go to the trouble of heating your whole house (or part of it) to 32C. Just blockade your tortoise into the warm area of his enclosure with a bit of wood. When the feeding is going well you can take the blockade down.

Humm... kinda like keeping a tortoise in a viv. I notice many keepers that I've met in the UK get around raising the temperatures in the tortoises enclosure during the cooler periods by blocking off the top of the enclosure until they get the temperatures they are looking for.

They then observe their pet through tiny little slots in the top of the enclosure... I've always wondered what the point of this was... why not just use a viv?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't a horsfield aestevate (an therefore stop eating again) if it had no way of getting away from the basking temp heat to cool down?

All med tortoises (whether describing horsefields as med tortoises is appropriate is another issue) will aestevate if it gets too hot. I don't keep horsefields and therefore am not an expert but I would have thought that for a short period of time and a nightime cool down my blocking remedy would work provided the temp was allowed to go much above 35C. Increased appetite and no aestevation.
