Default Hermanns' Healthy Weight?

Hi,
I have a 3 year old hermann. His weight is 0.055kg is this healthy?
His bottom shell measures at 6cm? I think he;s only just 3 years old - hatched '05.

I wouldn't worry about his age. He's a good weight for his size. If grown slowly he may well be 3. My 05 is more like 7cm and about 65g

Your right, slow and steady is what you want. I weigh mine every month just to make sure they don't put on more than a few grammes, but I have noticed that during the summer when they are outside in their large enclosures they don't put much weight on. It's when they are confined to their tort tables in the cold weather they tend to put more on... So I feed less then, apart from when they come out of hibernation, then for a few days they can eat as much as they want!

As mentioned in a recent thread... There is more chance of you doing damage by restricting food than if you feed a normal diet.

Normally tortoises have constant access to weeds and grasses and they regulate their intake based on environmental conditions.
