Yes he was from Hamm. Obviously due to the unhealthy torts you get in places like Slovenia, I went out of my way to find out what was written on his CITES papers before i bought him and it said Germany - thought it'd be ok. I've had him 6 months now and his shell never got much harder. I don't regret buying him though - I loved that little tort like he was my baby x

I am really sorry you have lost your tort

Just thought I would say, my first Hermann was brought from a pet shop and came from Germany. But on reading his article 10 he came from Slovienia and was shipped to Germany and then to the UK

My others have come from a lovely breeder down south

Once again, sorry for your loss.

Depending on the torts age? their shells are not as hard as one would think? when they are still quite young.
