Default how much?

hi
a mate of mine who's not on the web was given a leopard tortoise a few months ago as a present for xmas..by his ex'
now he has just got a job working away and wants to sell the animal on.
it's approx 7 to 8" maybe a little more and he believes it's female.
the question is how much does he advertise it for?
i have no room or i'd have it myself and what with my reef and frog set up to be the missus wont let me anyway!

I paid £150 for my first one and £200 for my second - however I belong to a society now and have just adopted my third.

I think that anyone who is keen will pay but please make sure they know what they are taking on with a Leopard. There needs are specific and they dont hibernate.

I was caught out when I first got mine - didn't have a clue - fortunately I had the right advise and support and now have 3.

thanks for the reply as i know nothing about tortoises to say the least.
not exactly my idea of an xmas present either!
he does need the cash though and as he does't want it i would rather help him sell it to someone who knows what they are doing.
it seemed quit big to me for a 'baby' also so i guess nearer the 200 mark?

Leopards are big and they only get bigger - thats why the new owner needs to be aware - wouldn't say they were an ideal stater tortoise either!!

Slowcoach usually has tortoises for sale maybe you can look on there and see what price they are going for.

Mine are priceless

Some people say dont breed leopards there are loads out there to be rehomed RUBBISH

It depends what your friend wants, if he wants a just to find a good home and not bothered about money then go to a rehoming organisation.

Price really females will cost a little more than males and will sell better. Can you take a picture of the underneath and then we can have a go at sexing it.
