I've kept them in the past for a few years but don't have any now. They were rehomers and in turn were rehomed to people who kept many.

You have a question?

yes, what did you feed them ed ive just picked a female up yesterday so far she has ate 2 earthworms, one snake, some mushed up banana, some dandilions and some clover. what temps did you keep them at ed ive got mine at 27C with lots of humidity. any general info or words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

I don't know about words of wisdom but I can pass along an opinion.

You are way ahead of the game if she is eating. If it has any size to it, it is most likely an import. Have it treated for worms and protozoa as a precaution... expecially the protozoa.

Snake...???? That's interesting.

Shrooms are a favorite food but like I said... you are doing better than average with what you have gotten it to eat.

You pretty much treat it like a Redfoot. It is important im my opinion to give it a spot where it can dry out if it likes.

22 to 32C is a good temperature range.

They have unbelievable personalities if you can acclimate them.

oops i ment snale, she only about 4/5 inch long.ive put some picks of her on the reptile gallary, yeh she is booked into the vets for next week ive heard they are hard to keep in captivity, yes i think she will def be an import as i dont know of anyone breeding them in the uk. she is quite active, she ate within 20 mins of bringing her home.she was quite vocal and excited when i gave her a snale and some earthworms.

I can't stress any stronger... As the vet to treat it for protozoa even if none are found.

Now days the imports are hitting the market so much quicker in the past. I beleive this is the reason imports are so much more responsive than in the past.

As to the snake... I wouldn't be surprised... they are also big carrion eaters.
