Default Moving outside and getting a friend...

hello people.

2 quick qeustions,

1) My herman has been viv/table based for a year, i only got him last year from the pesky gardan center, and i was just wondering when it warms up abit would he be fine to put in the yard yet? or is it too soon?

2) Ive often thought about getting him a friend, but after a year on his own, would he attack a new tourt in the table? i used too put a mirror in and he went a bit nuts, like-wise when i put in a modal tourt in, it was upside down.

Thanks poeple.

1) with a small heated kennel he should be fine out there, you might want to take him in at nights.

2) It really is impossible to say, two males cannot be kept together.

As long as the sides aren't mesh than tha'd be fine providing its big enough. Try and make it interesting. Vary the terrain, add rocks, etc.
Heres a good guide to help get some ideas.

Tortoise housing - Inside and out

For heating, I'm using a ceramic heat emitter on a stat.
