Not everyone... just the new keepers who follow limited information.

It just occured to me... Kid... How many RFs do you have and how long have you had them?

What are some of your resources to say that I'm wrong?

Ej you seem to have a very low opinion of new keepers how do you know they havn't done loads of research and gathered lots of different information from all different places and different keepers. It doesn't necessarily mean just because they are new that they follow limited information or that they (or shall i say we?) are not clever enough or are too naive to find out alsorts of info from all different places and people all by ourselves and use our own initiative.

Every caresheet that I've found on the web is the same/very similar to the one I linked.

I don't know where you get the idea that I have a low opinion of any new keeper.

I might have a low opinion of the information they are passing along and I'm addressing that.

The information is not the person.

I actually learn quite a bit from some of the newer keepers.

Did I say 'wrong' anywhere... mistaken... limited information out of context... is my point.

I listed 2 of my references in addition to direct observations by friends... in addition to my own experience with Redfoots.

Mine are only starting to produce eggs this year. I raised them from 6 inches to adult...

Hate to say it Ed is sort of right
But not 100% on the hibernation thing, i for one would not hibernate a red foot.

Red foots come from a wild area, some in the dark forests where its really moist and humid where others come from the grassland where it is still humid (not as much as in the forest)

More research needs to be done.
