Many years ago (too many) my 3 yo son thought my 2 prize frogs would enjoy swimming in a glass of Coke! You can guess they didnt react with it very well!

I was gutted - had raised them 2 to adults from only 10 tadpoles.

My son does not drink Coke these days and he even states that is the reason why! he is 28 now!

normally tortoises bury themselves naturally so no harm should be done. What time of tortoise is it? just keep a close eye on him/her for a few days

As I sit here my Horsfield has burried himself in the dirt in his table and all I can see is about a 3cm circle of his shell. It is natural for a Horsfield to bury itself in the dirt and it should be deep enough for him to do this as in the wild Horsfields live in tunnels that they dig themselves. So in answer to your original question your Squirt should be just fine.

My son (2) tries to feed my tort chocolate so I have to keep a close eye on him but I have the table covered with trelis now to make it harder for wee man to get to.
