he couldnt see for the dusty soil in his eyes i wiped it from his head and eyes n little nose he is ok now thank god i bathed him and offerd him food he diddnt want the food but enjoyed his bath,
just wondering if this will have harmed him in any way, i was so fuming with my son i shouted st him extremely loud and it never even botherd him,i have locked squirt in my bedroom out of harms way,

You know what a Frissbe is... a disk that is thrown... popular in the US... (yall know where this is going).

I once caught my daughter using my prize Desert tortoise as a Frissbe... I freaked.

Who's at fault... you are... I was... kids are just that... kids. If he remembers your response... he learned something... if you remember your response... you learned something.

The tortoise is not a person. I don't know of any tortoise shrinks. They go through way worse in the wild.

To answer your last question... the tortoise... or the boy?

my little boy did this to a hermanns baby i had years ago. took him of the table and into the garden and dropped him in the long grass. I was inconsolable, hysterical and furious. i was convinced my dogs had got him, the birds had picked over what was left and i would never be allowed to keep an animal agian as my neighbours all knew what had happened (due to me wailing like a banshee in the garden) and would OBVIOIUSLY report me to the rspca.
My husband was a pillar of strength and common sense. he ordered me inside and sat me down with a cup of tea and said it would be ok. for four hours he sat on a bench in the garden like he was playing steven segal in meditation mode. all of a sudden he got up and waded through the grass and plucked my baby tort from certain death. Turns out he had been watching for the grass moving from the tiny 40g fellow stomping around!
we went out an hour later and bought all of our small torts those indoor rabbit homes with the wire cage over the top. they all have padlocks fitted and boy does it set my mind at rest when all the kids are in and out.
I am glad all worked out ok with your little tort and child. with any luck he will be scared to do it again. Although my hubby caught our boy "brumming" a 10cm leopard on another occasion.....

Andy he should be okay just make sure you're keeping a close eye on his breathing, and his eyes over the next few days. Should be fine tho tbh.

just be extra vigilant, in regards to him being a little beep..yes n no, hes a kid n if he sees the tort as his friend he'll try to involve it in his games. caught my nephews playing with the gerbils in their army truck in the garden..to say i freaked would be an understatement, took a while to get through and explain why what they were doing was wrong..got there in the end.
