I have a Three Toed hatchling. I keep her in a vivarium (75 gal) that she shares with my Cherry Head Tortoise. I have a mixture of peat moss, zoo med forest floor, and leaf litter for a substrate. I planted moss, chicks and hens, very small Rose of Shannen, and some Spring mix seeds. She has a hide on one side and plants on the other. On the top of the vivarium, there is a 100 wt. heat emitter on one end, and a long tube UVB light on the other end. Watering the plants keeps in the humidity, which they need, just like a Cherry head. While they are still little, they are good together. I feed her every day....very small red wiggler worms, wax worms, and now I am just starting to try giving her fruits and veggies. I have had Ornate Box turtles, and they are much harder to keep than the Three Toed. In the Spring, I will build something for them to go outside. Eventually, she will go outside for good, but right now she is still too little.
Here's Izzy in her vivarium.
