Default Starter buying tortoise

I haven't bought one yet but thinking of buying one. Can someone telll me the food, behavior and habitat. Thank you.
You can also put pics up if you want I would love to see the enclosure.

You'll have to give us a bit more idea about what species you're interested in first.

if you are a beginer i would get a hermann or horsefield - i prefer hermann maself

Idk I think I might go for a red foot. Now that I think about I'm not to new to tortoises.

You aren't new to torts anymore? Wish I was that quick lol.Redfoots do not hibernate and do get quite big so will need somwhere very warm to live in the winter.

Our dad use to catch turtles and stuff he knows a lot about them. He would catch them and sell the babies to a pet shop across the street he made a lot of money.

I have a question about tortiose tubes could someone show me a picture? My dad knows how to take care of them but he doesn't know what a plastic tube is for a tortiose could someone tell me? I hope that wasn't a stupid question.

Turtles and tortoises care is not the same!! I won't make any comment on what you said about your dad catching turtles and then selling the babies

What do you mean by tortoise tube, or plastic tube? Are you thinking of a UV strip light? If you are then your dad doesn't know much about turtles!!

I think Ryegeckoman is american so perhaps has different terminology to us
