hi i have decided for the best i am going to have to sell my tunisians,only peoblem is i dont have the papers for them i contacted defra via email and they said that i do not need papers to own one just to breed them?
would it be illegal if i sold them on? all advice needed please,they are in a viv at the minute the 3 of them and its not fair on them i just dont have the cash to build a table at present , ne one intrested pm me or advice wanted please |

Yes im afraid you can only sell if you have paper.

It takes as long as it takes <g> Sometimes they do a pretty quick turn around and they are back in a couple of weeks, but I have heard of people waiting months. I don't think charges have been brought in yet, although they have been mentioned for the future at something like £10 per tortoise being certified.
The cert that does not allow you to sell on is the 'breeders' cert I reffered too. You would have to check with DEFRA on which cert they will supply to you in your circumstance.

If they are in unsuitable housing, I would re-home them ASAP.
