thats one of the joys of having a tort, FREE FOOD! there is plenty of guides around that give good pictures and description os weeds, before you know it there will be about 10 different weeds on the menu. Even in the winter we dont ever run short of weeds, and we have lots of big hungry torts to feed. Just takes a little longer to find them. Congratulations on spending the time to find a healthy natural FREE food supply!

I wouldn't feed too much bedstraw as it does have some toxity levels.

a Good weed which seem to be here all year round is plantain, if you are running low, you can bulk up on this as they seem to grow massive around here.
Although I do find a big range of weeds anyway, its always handy to have plantain in the winter.

if you want to try growing your own plantain then it thrives in really poor quality soil with lots of rocks and gravel mixed in. So to find it look in cracks in the pavement, abandoned building sights, waste areas etc. They can eat the wide and narrow leaf plaintains. And bed straw shouldbe ok in small amounts, it is high in tanins, but a little wont hurt.
