Default Torts up earlier... Is it getting warmer?

Hi,

I was wondering because my tortoise, Charlie, is getting up now before his lights are even turned on, is that a sign that it's getting warmer generally? I have noticed its been a little warmer than usual in our house but will they react to this?

Mike

OH yes! this is the same pull that they feel in the winter to hibernate, but in the opposite. very often no matter what conditions we impose on them, the torts know best what they want! mine are all awake and under the heatlamp before 7 am when its turned on. given the choise theyw ould bask all day. a stark contrast to the sleepy faces and 4 hours basking in the winter.
