Default inbreeding?

just curious to wether or not it matters if the male and female are brother and sister and they have hatchlings will there be any problems.

yes I expect there will be. You may get away with it for 1 or 2 litters but in breeding is not recommended. I was lucky that my very rare Egyptians were from an unrelated pair or else there would not be much point buying 2.

There aren't many or any breeders I don't think who'd recommend it. You should never keep just one female with a male anyway as the male will constantly 'harass' her and she'll end up stressed.

I have read articles though in which some scientists believe interbreeding happens in the wild... especially in areas with low populations of tortoises. I thought that was interesting.
