tortoises can breed for many years! and clive is right, a few various tortoise books will give you much more info than posting a few messgeas here. The tortoise trust do a course in tortoise husbandry. its £35 and can tell you an awfull lot about tortoise anatomy, biology and behaviour. Also how to ensure they get a healthy diet. you would be able to learn everything to make sure there is the best possible chance that they are both healthy, and in turn give them the best chance to breed in the future.

Just like us humans, if we are not too healthy and over indulge in mc donalds then it affects our general health and fertility. Oh, and well done on hibernating them!!

I realise that you are very excited about breeding your animals . is it the best thing about keeping reptiles. but if your animals are a pair, old enough and healthy they should breed !!

It will be worth the wait, but just let nature take its course.

Due to the shell, tortoises can't get fat when they get pregnant.! You will have to wait. but make sure she has plenty of "digging area" to lay her eggs.

Sorry mate but I have to go out now If nobody helps you tonight with this PM me and I will write to you tommorow or monday.

But to be quick a diiging area is an area where a tortoise can dig a hole to lay her eggs. easy outside (you just need some grass free space but a bit harder if it is indoors) Others forum users will come to help you though I am sure.
