i have read soooo many different things and was wondering what all the red foot tortoise owners as UV? i know they need it and mine has always had it but what stregth do you all use and for how long? thank you

i meant how long per day some people say 6 hours some 12 and allsorts in between i have always used repti glow 8.0 but many people have said this is too strong or too weak and i have mine on for on average 10 hours a day and have been told this is far to long? any information on what you all do is greatfully appreciated x

i keep it on about 12 hours a day

I use the same bulbs and the same time. Use nutrabal as well

I use an all in one powersun 100 watt flood

hi i dont own a red foot but i use a i use repti glo 5.0 uv and have it on about 10 hours a day

theese do need replacing ever 6 months tho ,

i know they need replacing and of course use nutrobol i have had my tortoise for years and years now and he is healthy and growing so i have no problem using what i use was just curious as to the different times and stregths you all use that was all just being nosey not so much to learn just a thought as he need his light replacing as my dad broke it so am going to buy him a new one and just wondered
