Default little advice for a rookie!!

right now i have 2 map turtles in a 30" inch tank with heater, filter, and a basking light. i dont have a uv yet coz i was told by the pet shop i dint need 1. after doing alittle research today i found out the light i have is 75w basking reptile sun glo that has uva rays. heres a link to the 1 i have.

Exo Terra Sun Glo Daylight Bulb £4.65 - Pet Zoo Online Reptile Shop & Exotic Pet Store

now i have no hood on my tank so i cnt put those long uv tubes on there. the light i do have is over the basking area in the corner, so wud it be alright to get another one of these and put it in the corner so i have 2 in each corner?

You need a UVB lamp, not another UVA.

When your daylight bulb needs replacement you can use an ordinary 40-60W reflector bulb, about 50p from any DIY store.

I would recommend you get a compact UVB lamp and mount it over the basking area, together with your existing lamp to provide heat.

our basking and uv are next to each other and we've had no problems.

Yes, and they go together side by side as your turt needs both heat and UVB when it's basking. The UVB gives very little heat and has a short range, so if you put them far apart it would only get one or the other.
