Question Bulb going out.

I am using the T-REX UV heat lamp for my tort.
I have been using this bulb from new for the past 6 months.

The past week, it has started going out and then back on again.
This happens alot somedays and not others.

I have had NO problems with this bulb until now. Does this mean the bulb is on its way out ?

Is it time for a replacement ?

If it's turning back on again then it's probably not on it's way out, they tend to just stop working and that's it.

It's more likely that the bulb is overheating, or there's a bad connection somewhere, or something causing a current surge, all of these can cause the bulb to switch off automatically, it's a safety feature and they're designed to do that.

What holder are you using for it?
