Default Can anyone help

Hi, my name is Gerry and I have joined the forum to see if anyone can help.My wife and I run a rescue service for birds of prey, some of the birds we get come from the RSPCA,last week they asked if we could help with some reptiles that were taken from the owner due to cruelty charges being brought against them.We said yes thinking that it was a couple of snakes and a Dabtail. We ended up with 4 x Tarantula's different species.2 x Tree frogs,2 x Snake neck Turtles, and a Redfoot Tortoise.2 x Tree Boa's and the Dabtail. We are having trouble getting the redfoot to eat and the turtles are a nightmare.Any help would be very much appreciated. We have knowledge of snakes and some lizards but the rest are new to us.
Gerry and Maria.

Welcome to the forum Gerry and Maria

I know Littlefoot will be able to help out with the redfoot... Graham (our resident turtle guru) logs in every day so I'm sure he'll be around later or tomorrow to help out with the turtles care.

Good luck with them all.

Hi mate, the redfoot is 5 inchs long by 3.5 inchs wide, belived to be a female.Currently she is in the house under room temp.We have only today found out that they do better in a viv (collecting one tomorrow with luck).
We were told that they can do as well outside as well as indoors so did not think a viv was needed. She has eaten lettuce and cress but not much,we have given her a warm bath to keep her hydrated as she does not seem to drink much.we have put Reptoboost into the water as well.

EVERYTHING the only thing we know is that they need a temp of 27 degrees and that they eat crickets.

O.K,room temp isn't warm enough for her except at night. She needs a heat lamp getting and a u.v tube or an all in 1 heat and u.v light. She needs a daytime basking temperature of around 30c or 90f and a hide to hide in.A table is better than a viv or a simple wooden or plastic home made box as long as it is big enough and only put her outside if it is a very warm sunny day.Viv is o.k if it is extremely well ventilated.Give her as many different weeds to eat like dandelion (leaves and flowers)and try her on some fruit but no citrus fruit. Can also give her T-rex dry tortoise food from the pet shop once or twice a week and soak it in hot water first and let it cool.
