we have found with all reptile keeping and processed complaints hitting a brick wall every time on this particular topic

the local government /councill work with the envior health office giving licences to all pet shops... in our health office there is NO reptile expert !! in accordance to DEFRA they should have one to deal with this!!

on Complaining to DEFRA that the animal welfare act was being broken they then passed me back to environmental health !! Who dont have anyone i can speek to?

after again speeking with the enviromental health officer whom admitted the RSPCA had issues with certain shops ''i asked the question
IF YOU DONT HAVE AN ANIMAL SPECIALIST AND AN ORGANISATION SUCH AS THE RSPCA TELLS YOU THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WHY DIDNT YOU LISTEN AND NOT RENEW THE LICENCE THIS YEAR
PENDING INVESTIGATIONS OF ALLEGATIONS?

NO ONE CAN ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS !!! ALL I CAN ASSUME IS THAT THE COUNCIL NEEDS THE MONEY FROM THE LICENCES!!!!

THERE ARE SOME REALY GOOD WEBSITES AND REPTILE SHOPS AROUND AND A NUMBER OF THE PEOPLE RUNNING THESE FEEL THE SAME WAY AS THE REST OF US AND PROMOTE GOOD REPTILE HUSBANDRY ..THEY WILL ALWAYS HELP PEOPLE WHO WANT TO DO IT RIGHT,,

AS FOR ADVICE AND KEEPING REPTILES IF ANY ONE IS STRUGGELING WITH TORTIOSES,SNAKES,LIZARDS, I HAVE BEEN KEEPING FOR OVER 12 YEARS IM NO EXPERT BY ANY MEANS BUT ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP IF I CAN!!!!!
