hi yesterday i got my new tort male horsfield he is so cute, his name is tank thanks to all who helped pick names but tank is cute,
i am proud to say he has settled in well up yesterday evening he had been on a bed of hemp but i use soi/sand substrate with all my torts so he now has 3/4 soil/sand and 1/4 hemp untill he gets used to the texture, well when i put him in his ew table he was off he went inside his hide witch he had with his previous owner,before he went into his table he had a bath and a poo allways a good sign i think then he settled for the night and went to sleep.
today he has been basking and had a nibble at cucumber wild rocket and some dandelions thismorning i was a little concerner as he hadnt eaten but guess this was just his way of settleig in, he seems ok now had a munch even had a drink of water from the bath and the water dish bless him, he has been digging in his soil so i think he likes it i dont have any colse up pics of him yet because i dont want to go poking about as today is his first day with us and he needs to find his feet so to speek so below you will find pics of his set up and a distant pic of him its not that close but i will post close ones when he gets used to us

That looks great Claire - it will take a while for him to settle in sometimes a week or more so dont worry too much.
