Default Shell lines question

Hi just a wee question about shell lines on my Horsfield, all of his shell looks normal except this one 'line' for want of a better way to describe it, it runs almost dead cetre to his shell from the front for about an inch backwards and it is whiter than the rest of his shell. It also seems to be a bit raised. He eats weeds only, no fruit or bad stuff. He lives in a tort table with a basking light and a UVB light and soil/sand substrate. He is putting on weight well and seems fine otherwise.

I'm hoping this is normal and i'm being silly but he's my first tortoise and I just want to be sure.

Also his shell seems very dry despite his baths, is this normal?

And one last question, how long does the shedding of skin go on for and do you just leave it to go naturally, the baths seem to help this i think.

Thank you
