is a dock leaf fine for my herman tortoise?

I doubt anything would happen on this one odd occasion, but they are not good for torts... Or rabbits, guinea pigs or anything else. I can't remember what they contain, but they are toxic. I would just remove any if she still has it and not let her have any again

Yes, you spit on them and then rub them on the sting... Don't know if it works though.

They aren't actually toxic, so should not do any harm this time. They are not a good idea to feed as they contain high levels of oxalic acid, which inhibits the absorbtion of calcium. They occasionally grow in my enclosures, but the tortoise have never shown any interest and they are removed.

They are not toxic sorry. They are not the best food as they are a bit high in tannins i think its calld. They can be a bit bitter for some but my torts but my torts love the new baby leaves. Do a search and you will see this bout up before.
