It must be fantastic to have all that space and climate. Bet you don't have to cut the grass.

Thanks all for the nice comments. It's spring and that is when it looks best. I'm putting in 3 more enclosures and a 12 x 16 foot shed for the tortoises during the winter.

February temps can reach into the teens F but average above freezing. There was about 2 or 3 weeks where they had to be taken in. Their sheds are heated with heat mats.

As long as the temperatures are above 50 F they are out and about.

The grass around the house is 6 to 8 inches tall. I'm affraid they are over grazing. I'm seeding and laying out lime today and hope that helps.

Once the other projects are done... a pond is definately in the plan. We have many native boxies (I can't keep those) in addition to snakes, Lizards, toads and salamanders. I'd like to keep spotteds and Wood turtles.

Ed, great looking enclosures/pens/torts...

I could just see myself sitting on that swing seat on the verandah, sipping homemade lemonade, watching the torts go about their business...

You need to set up some holidays/vacations at your tort pad for us brits...

You could call em "Ed's Mazuri tours"...or someting like that...T.T.
