The move was a major hit. I lost almost half my group... I'm down to about 75 tortoises. The other herps did much better. I can't think of a single herp I lost in the move.

All total... about 150 herps.

I did add about 25 Hingeback tortoises... and a few more leopards... and some chinese boxies... one chaco... a few snakes... but that's it... oh... the Radiateds... I do hope that deal goes through.

Real herpers... normal folks... well... relatively normal.

And sorry but age does nothing for me,i may be 29 but my husband is 45. my eldest child is 10 and i am due no4 in 10 weeks. Nothing shocks me any more Ed, I find it easier to shock others these days!

So, how many tortoises do you have in total?? and how many of those have been added since you moved from your smaller garden!? any new groups planned or sticking with what you have??

When that stuff sets it can be used as concrete. That's the Mazuri tortoise diet I'm always going on about.

I'll put together an updated post on that at a later date.

When I suggest it to others to use I suggest it as a 50/50 split. Once you get a feel for the stuff you can use as much or as little as you like.

Again... I'll put together another post on this. I personally use it exclusively with my tortoises indoors. I do not supplement any greens in the yard outside of what is available. The wife does throw out the left over fruits and greens also.

This is my pride and joy. I've had him about 8 years now. He was 4 inches SCL when I got him. At least 50% of his diet was Mazuri it is now at least 80% only because these guys eat everything.

I've only been using it about 4 years as a major staple and about 8 years as a partial part of their diet.

email me directly and I'll send you the ingredients list.

I've been corresponding with the developer of the diet and he answers every question I have. I really trust the guy. He's a phd in animal nutrition.

The diet was developed for Galapagos tortoises about 20 or 25 years ago. All the zoos in the US use it and have used it way longer than I have.

I used it cautiously for the first 3 or 4 years and then discovered that my tortoises do better on this stuff than anything I could provide.
