Smile Temp Outdoor Enclosure - Pics

I'm having a secure, lockable outdoor enclosure built for Saphie but it's taking a little longer than I thought - so rather than her miss out on the lovely sunshine we're having I've set up this temporary one for her today. I've never seen her so active during the afternoon... she's normally asleep by now... but all she's done is investigate!

A couple of her enjoying it

It's not greatly secure but secure enough to keep birds away and while I can keep an eye on her - I'm sitting in the conservatory watching her!

Hope you like

I find it incredible how tiny she is - you can do some great things with enclosures that size - do you fancy designing mine for 3 big leopards Tina??

She is tiny isn't she? I didn't appreciate how tiny until I picked up an older horsfield last weekend - it seemed huge and that wasn't even full grown!

I can't wait to get the proper enclosure - I have plans for a low rockery for them to climb (I'm getting two more in 3 weeks ) and plants for shade... the plants are all waiting on the patio and have been weathering off for a good few weeks now.

I'm not sure I'd be very good with enclosures for big leopards though

Thank you.

I have a few more years before she gets big enough to be a destroyer I think!

Awww she is so tiny and cute, I love them when they are tiny.... Mind I love them when they are bigger too! The enclosure looks great, bet you will both be happy when she has a permanent secure one though, I'm a bit like that with my Leopards as there outdoor enclosure is only a temporary one and I have to keep my eye on them all the time as one keeps trying to climb out!

It is amazing how much more active they are when they are outside isn't it. If mine are inside they are all asleep come the afternoon, but outside they seem to be wandering all day long. I generally bath mine in the morning and then feed them in the late afternoon to, that keeps them looking for food longer..... They don't put as much weight on when they are outside all the time either

andy is busy on our secure enclsures for outdoors we using a nocked up frame with garden mesh atm mesh isnt ideal but ok as they are allways supervised untill we get some wire stuff like ur using, only torts we have problems with is tunisians they are a pain n the butt flash is ne way he tends to climb the mesh and get his legs stuck he is a pain he had managed to get a hold in the mesh to get out lol so he is usualy roaming alone as the others aint figured the hole out yet will post pics when i sorted my enclosuress,
