Once a day, every day up to 12 months old, then decrease to every other day, after a couple of years just twice a week. That's for pellets and other high protein foods, they can have access to as much veg as they want the rest of the time.

Duckweed, Watercress, Kale, most aquatic plants such as Canadian Pondweed and other oxygenators.

It gets a bit expensive though if you have to keep buying plants, best to grow your own and then transfer them to the turt tank. Duckweed will grow well in a tub in full sun in the garden, you can breed some snails in there at the same time.
