I have a year old Hermann's tort. I was just cruising tort websites yesterday and came across the site of a man who's been keeping them outdoors for decades and talks of them following him when he gardens hoping he'll turn up a snail or slug.

I had been wondering if they ate the odd bug now and then. So yesterday I put a few pill bugs into my tort's enclosure and she showed interest.

I've heard about the dung eating and wondered if I should offer her a few rabbit droppings. They are pet rabbits so I don't think parasites would be an issue, and the intestinal flora should be right, they have a similar diet to torts.
