Have done some leaflets to take to local vets..no pics obviously they would have to give me full description..also the lady who had her as a turtle took her around the houses, have also put a poster on a lamp post at bottom of street, so yes I am trying..a little half heartedly..will also check local paper under lost pets. Must admit I hope I don't get any response! But I am a responsible person (deep down) Also have a poster on my front door, in case someone calls and I am out. x

I know you are Sue

I didn't mean to put a dampener on things - it just made me feel sad that either someone doesn't care and just let it go or someone is feeling upset at losing it. I'd be heartbroken if mine got lost

Well I would be devistated too, and can imagine what someone is going through..Must admit though if she belonged to someone local..and I think going by her tiny size she may, I would think someone would be frantiacaly going around the houses in the area and would have seen the poster at bottom of street. Oh well..did have a thought that a magpie may have picked her up and dropped her in the garden..well you never know hmmm

I would put alot more posters up! I would be none too pleased if someone had one of my tortoises and only put a sign up at the end of their own road!

Excuse me?! I think thats an awful assumption! Anyone would experience can tell anyone how good they are at escaping things! I can't believe anyone is thinking of stealing (because that's what it is!) this tortoise and judging the owners. It's a possibility, but if one of mine escaped I'd hate to think that people could do stuff like this!

I agree with josh on this one, your local paper will often place found ads for free. I'd put notices up in local shops and vets too. Cant be expected to do anymore than that really. Good luck with her whatever the outcome.

Yes the lady who had him first put an add in the paper, unfortunatelty she gave a complete description of her, but she did say she was a turtle, so not valid really..have done vets, and my daughters are putting flyers round today..can't really post too much on lamp posts etc council are not too keen on it around this way.

Oooh dear Iv'e opened a can of worms! My torts also spend most of the day trying to escape! Goodness know's why! I think this little tort must have wandered for miles or like I suggested may have been dropped by a magpie..still no news of anyone loosing oneand am still trying not to get attached..like I just posted I am responsible person and flyers are being put round as we speak..x
