Here's digger, hes 45+ His ex-owners got him as an adult 45 years ago, but he did seem much older:

thanks againTina i did hatch that one she has'nt laid for me yet but her sister has and i got 3 x F2 hatchlings off her last year this one no.3 is probably the best shaped of my hermans so far although the others are pretty good .i think i have been most successful recently with my graeca graeca they are really smooth.

Hi, Yes, Yanni is in a normal sized washing up bowl, shes really big and weighs in at over 1.5kg!

Terry, as always your pics of beautifully smooth tortoises stuns me. I have never seen such good growth on captive tortoises. I hope I can get my hatchlings as smooth!

my OH's mother has had her hermans for 35 years and it was fully grown when she got him. I shall try and tsake some pics next time im at his place

thanks for that Pete im sure yours will be fine the best thing you can give them is fresh air and really coarse weeds,as you know i keep all mine on grass when outside and allow them to forage for a lot of their food.
