I dont know if this helps but my tortoise would make a choking noise if dehydrated or to warm .I would have to put him in the bath sraight away .

so up until he had his fit was he eating ok? and was he pooing and active?? if he WAS and now is not, then i think its safe to say that he may have a bit of a blockagefrom whatever he has eaten. is he still walking with his rear in the air?? if he is acting unusually (use your judgement, just because somebody elses tort does something, doesnt mean yours will. you should know if its out of character). you should bath him 2x a day in warm water and leave him in there for a good while. if in two days or so he hasnt improved you realy should get him checked out by a vet, he may need an xray to see if he has eaten a stone, and its stuck .

dont feel bad ,or like you have done anything wrong. unfortunatley, no matter how hard we try, we cant remove every single tiny bit of danger from our animals lives

thanks for all the gr8 advice every one,
i have made him sone more fresh food with choped cucumber to try tempt him on to it, i have dig him out of the soil and plonked him in front of the food he is havng a stareing competition with it at the minute,oh hang on he is trying to murder the cucumber! yey!!!!

this is first he has eaten since the incident, i have given him one thin slice hope this is ok i know they not ment to have it but i tried him with it yesterday to temp and it never worked!

the walking no he is walking ok now,

but ok to me like you say may be diffrent to others i have only had him just over 2 weeks so he hasnt done a gr8 lot with him settleing in but i also understand the rocket fuel remark as he does exactly this lol like some one has pressed the nos button lol

unfortunatley its cold outside today so not puting him out. as dont have a outdoor heat sorce as he is in a temp pen/run untill we do enclosures out properly

giving him cucmber is fine when trying to "persuade them" into something! i save the cucmber and grapes for the vets trips, mouth checks and worming. gets em every time!

we booked in to vets thisafty 3.40pm to see if we can id them
