cause there quite young still and when their bigger we need a huge tank so i thought it would be cool to keep them outside

OK, well yes then you can keep them outside, but you'd have to provide similar conditions to those indoors by building a greenhouse or a shed and heating/lighting it.
Then in summer you'd probably want to put them in a proper outdoor pond so they get the benefit of natural sunlight.
All of this would be far more difficult and expensive than simply keeping them indoors in winter in a large tank, and having them out in a pond in summer.
Is it lack of space for a large tank indoors that makes you want to keep them outside?
