Default do leopards like sunshine

My leopards have been going out in the garden in the sunshine , they have a very large area grass, weeds bushes etc but the seem to hide in the bushes if they do venture away from the bushes its to test the fencing . They never bask in the area or spend any time in the actual sun. None of them will eat the grass , all will eat the weeds . They just dont seem to enjoy being out.

Mine are the same - they do have a little munch and a wonder but they spend most the time in the bushes. They do love being out there though - I leave them out as long as the temp is ok

my wee leopard loves running round her outdoor enclosure,to be honest she never hides and is extremely active whilst out.

hi mine like to bask in the morning to warm up but once their batteries are charged thay are off up the slope to forage and graze they hide in the long grass and gorse bushes until afternoon, when if its forcast 15c or more overnight i leave them out and they continue to eat for a while and as it cools down they search out a scrape under the pampas grass or thistle clumps for the night ,most days i collect them and restrict them to the concrete slab near their shed and they wander back before dark to settle down for the night ,the odd one will hide in the long grass at the edge of the slab but i do a head count every night so they stand no chance.the only ones who spend a lot of time in the hot sun are gravid females who spend their time basking or paceing looking for a nest site ,strangely the females stand on their back legs against the wall alot when they are on the slab basking.

Yours have such great surroundings Terry - I leave mine out until about 6.30pm then I bring them in - then they each go to their special place to sleep - the same place everynight. I do put them in their sleep box before I go to bed.
