Default unwell spurthigh

hi everyone, this is my first post so be nice

i have 2 male spur thighs (TGG), they are 12 years old, have indoor and outdoor housing and are fed weed with vits. they were sold to me age 4 as male and female but as they got older its apparent that they are 2 boys, they are name Zeus and Hera.

iv never had any problems health wise with either of them but for the last 2 days Hera has been struggling. She (he - always refered to as she cos we thought it was a girl!!) has always been more dominant than zeus, ate more, more adventurous etc, but for 2 days she has been of her feet - literally, i cant get her to stand, she shows no daylight between floor and plastron yet i cnat find any problem with her limbs at all - muscle tome all fine, she is moving everything but she cant take the weight. she is pooing and weeing fine, she wont eat if i put food infront of her but if i hand feed her she wolfs it down, iv bought her inside and turned heat up to 32, bathed her but still no change - it seems to be a motor problem....any ideas gratefully recieved.
thankyou

Not often I say this but in this case...I would get her to the vet straight away. There could be a few reasons but it is not something I would leave....if there are no obvious signs of injury etc.
Sorry to be so harsh...

Hi Jennie and to RFUK... glad you managed to get on in the end!

I'm sorry your first post is a problem though.

I'm inclined to agree with Helen on this one - straight to the vet. Good luck and let us know how he gets on.

Default update

we have been to the vets today, apparently Hera is weak but the vet doesnt know exactly why so have had blood tests done and will get results friday. in the mean time - keep her warm, keep bathing her and hand feeding (always reasurring to know you have been doing everything you can...properly), just have to wait out now.

on another matter....how expensive are vet bills!!!! £25 just for a consultation and £80 for a blood test....flippin heck im in the wrong job.....£105 for 10 mins work!!!!.....guess im lucky iv not had to go very often

I hope things will be ok - they are such a worry !!!

I adopted a Leopard who unbeknown to me had a respiratory infection - it cost me £200 and she will never fully recover as she has some lung damage. I would pay anything though just to make her better but I no what you mean.

Having her vet bill prompted me to get my other 2 insured!!!!!
