Default tortoises

hi i was thinking about buying anouther tortoises. but i thought it would be a lot nicer to rehome one does anyone know how i can put my name down for one or two on tortoises trust. thanks

you need to be a member and to suvscribe to the internet group. you recieve a notification when one comes available and put your name forward if you are interested. then tammy, the co-ordinator, makes a decission based on what species you keep, what facilities you have and if you have done the TT course etc. hope this helps

its a course that the TT have designed to help keepers get a better understanding of there needs. it covers EVERYTHING relevant to tortoise anatomy, physiology, environment, conditions, illness the lot. its a collection of essays, multiple choice questions and assignments. its quite good, gives you a solid foundation of knowledge. costs £35 and all 10 lessons are done on line. you pass at the end and are graded depended on how well you have done.

That's a good idea! I think I will give that a go too I know I have had torts since a child, but a little more knowledge wouldn't hurt.
