Before mine are all a decent size in the garden, and once they are all dying, I go on a weed hunt at the weekend. You get to know the right areas to find different things if you spend enough time wandering about! I can get loads of dandies and round leaf plantain in one place, then across the other side of town I found a "rough" patch and there I can find other things.... Oh the fun of weed hunting!
Yeah tried gloves but we have killer nettles, they sting right through the gloves.

Im going to take a stroll tomorrow upto a local dog walking area and see what I can find. Its quite a well looked after area so not sure if pesticides are used around there.

Have you tried those suede looking gardening gloves? I bet you would be ok with them!! I always wear gardening gloves when I am picking weeds as I hate slugs and caterpillers! I look great when out in the local parks or down country lanes with a plastic carrier bag and a pair of gardening gloves on, lol.

You will find the best weeds in unkept areas, they like that the best

Is it possible to buy seeds for dandelions? I've often thought how useful it would be to grow some for my omnivorous lizards. I don't have a lawn and the flowerbeds are rather shaded (as well as being trampled by cats and foxes using them as a run) so I would have to grow anything in tubs.

Ive tried the strong builders gloves but they still get me through those. These are really mean stingers.

I have to say unkept areas in my town are a bit hard to find, the council are quite good on keeping park areas and things clear. But im going to try and go out tomorrow to check out and area near me. Its used quite alot by dogs walkers though so im not sure what I will find.
