Wink Home Grown...

Whilst out with my camera I thought I would take some photos of the weeds growing in my garden, or in tubs. Most of them have been grown from seeds that I have thrown about, though some of them are ones that have reseeded themselves the last couple of years... Just to prove that weeds can be grown from seeds!!!

In the garden...

Look at the size of these... Ok they don't beat someone's, but still!

I've got clover growing out of my ears but cant grow anything else well. I'm Going to sew a load in the bits we don't want weeds, that'll make them grow!

It is a shame to pick them your right! Luckily my lot are still quite small so I don't have to pick too much!

My dozy hubby was "weeding" part of the garden last weekend and I had forty fits at him as he pulled up some of the tort weeds! He said they all looked the same to him. So I went round putting things next to what he wasn't allowed to touch!

Mine did that too last weekend Even most of the dandelions, except the ones I have to climb up the flipping rockery to get at Luckily there's lots of edible plants that he did leave... he says they all look the same as well

You obviously have green fingers

Oh dear! Luckily for me I caught Martin in the act just after he had started! I asked him what he was doing, he said weeding, and I pointed out they weren't weeds they were tort food so he was to stop NOW!! I pointed out what he couldn't touch, but he then started to pull up some speedwell... Which is why I had to go round putting things next to what he had to leave! Men!

I wasnt so fortunate and lost my whole weed bed, admittedly I only had dead nettle, clover, dandies and oh something I cant remember the name of but at least I had some weeds.

Just got a few dandies left at the bottom of the garden and they wont last forever, plus they are really hard to get too as they are growing amongst nettles.

SO for the moment I am having to substitute with various salad leaves.

You will have to wear some gardening gloves!

Before mine are all a decent size in the garden, and once they are all dying, I go on a weed hunt at the weekend. You get to know the right areas to find different things if you spend enough time wandering about! I can get loads of dandies and round leaf plantain in one place, then across the other side of town I found a "rough" patch and there I can find other things.... Oh the fun of weed hunting!
