Hey

When i bought my horsfield he had worms and the vet advised me to take a sample with me in case he didnt poop! unknown to him, humphrey is a poop machine so it was ok after all :P

Take it with ye and the vets will be able to find out if its worms or not

It does sound like worms , mine have them at the moment . But the vet will tell you and its easy enough to treat .

its not unusual for digested plant material to have worm like strands in it. it can be quite confusing to see. in all visible worm infestations i have dealt with they tend to move for a while after coming out. not pretty!! put his poo in an airtight bag or sample jar and put it in the fridge. Ask the vet to do a FULL fecal check as microscopic parasites can cause as much damage as big worms.

just found this pic, should say the worms are the same size as the pic.

this is what the worms we had in our hermanns looked like. Very easily diagnosed and treated though. enclosure hygiene is critical if it is worms, or re-infestation will occurr.
