Horatio gets cuttlefish grated over his dinner plus a bit of 'reptavite' sprinkled over too. Also, and this causes massive arguments, Horatio gets tortoise pellets which he absolutely loves and which saved his life.Of course he also gets weeds, flowers etc.

in the winter months i use nutrobal on every other feed and calcium carbonate when i dont use nutrobal. in the summer i just use nutrobal once a week and calcium carbonate the rest of the time. they all have cuttlefish to munch on all the time. and at halloween they get a mahoosive pumpkin or two to eat. helps keep parasites down and they LUUURVE it!

Cuttlefish is calcium, as is limestone flour. I give my torts a piece of cuttlefish to chew if they wish, but they have never bothered with it. So I use limestone flour to make sure they have the calcium they need to make strong bones and shell

If your tort eats cuttlefish I wouldn't worry too much, but limestone flour is really cheap to buy in large tubs (from a horse food supplier), and it won't go out of date if you haven't used it! I mix mine with water as well, then leave it to dry in a tub (it looks like plaster of paris) then I tip the block into the tort table... They eat that when they fancy it and have little white mouths, looks like they have been eating an ice cream!

Ok thanks guys, ill buy both of those then, i know its bad she has had any supplements till now but she is sooooo fussy, when she had RNS the vet gave some medicin to drop onto her food, in the end i was adding it downstairs where she couldn't see then mixing it all around and adding cucumber bits which she loves, and she would walk up 2 it, and know th medicin was there then she would walk off lol,

i reckon im guna have a job with these supplements
