Default my leopard was gravid after all

hi all both of my 2 largest female leopards have been acting graved recently and i have been putting them into the nesting box to see if they would lay without success on the 29/4/08 the smaller one laid one egg on the surface but wouldnt dig i decided i had waited long enough so yesterday i sectioned off part of the greenhouse and dug it over she decided to dig a nest and then promptly filled it back in but today she dug again after spending all day under the heatlamp and laid a further 25 eggs all fresh and pink this seemed a lot i dread to think how many the big girl will lay if im correct and she is gravid also.

terry

in the first vid she is still laying then in the second she is about to cover up.

thanks so much for your kind comments ,this is her first clutch as my male was only mature enough to mate with her end of last summer.i thought this was an accomplishment as she is over 410mm then he astounded me when he managed the biggest girl who is between 455 and 460mm now, and also acting gravid.guess who is in the greenhouse from tomorrow.

incubation is from about 100 to 150 days although can be longer, i would say roughly about twice what it is for a med tortoise. i hope to see some results by about september.
