hey all, have just had my mum on the phone AGAIN asking me about the tortoises. she absolutley loves them. she is 50 this year in september and has finally admitted she wants a tortoise after years of saying she wouldnt have a pet due to her long work hours. she runs her own business and now only works 2 days a week.

I have been trying to work out what to do for the best, she could have one of my leo babies (if they ever lay) but i think they are too big for her garden. She has a large patio but she only has a lawn thats 12m square so she would be better off with a smaller tort. i am going to get all the stuff together for her birthday, table, lamps etc, and HOPEFULLY a tortoise baby.

I have spoken to blondesarah and she is awaiting paperwork for her babies. I just wondered if anybody had any other types in the incubator (or already hatched!) before i make up my mind. Nothing too big though, and preferably NW england, north wales. I really like the idea of getting her a home grown baby off somebody i trust, instead of a random breeder.

hiya ali thats a nice gesture she will love it my mam would love one but she has no were for a table to go in her house or i would get her one i also considerd it for her b.day she turns 40 on thursday. aint a clue what to get her wish i could give a tort she would be over the moon as im sure your mam will be ,best of luck finding hatchling,
