Personally if it gets the meds into him then I'd give it... it's not like you're changing his diet and will be giving it every day or even every week is it? Strawberries are another good option for getting meds into them too.

What's the other meds she's given him for?

i found that giving oral ABs to my leos was quite hard. i waited for the head to come out and got my OH to hold her legs, makes it harder for them to pull back. then i got a tooth pick wrapped in a tiny bit of cotton wool and used it at the corner of the mouth to kind of wedge it open. then got the medicine down her neck. if you try to administer it oraly, dont let them pull back straight away, as it will come gushing straight out of the nares!

just go carefull. it will be fine. he will not choke, he may not be very happy, but its for his own good. take your time and dont panic, set up the syringe and stuff before you start and it will be over in no time! good luck

difficult to explain. you will manage it fine. thumb and finger either side of her face behind her ear scales with her plastron on your palm facing away from your body. kind of difficult but i am sure you will find a way that works for you!

If you administer the meds by just squirting in it's mouth you're likely to have a less cooperative tort as time goes on, best to exhaust other options first.

Banana is fine if you have to in small amounts, your little bloke hardly needs the added woe of potassium salts forming kidney stones as a result of bagloads of banana but a teeny it will be ok.

Alternatively papaya or pear should spark interest equally well without being quite such a problem.
