Your Turtle Looks Great.I Had A Mata mata From a Baby And She Grew to about 14 inches long Then last year i sold her to a gentleman who had one and he wanted mine to keep it company but this has got to be one of the most interesting animals i have ever kept. From an early age i got her feeding on chopped trout from the supermarket but watch the bones because you dont want it to damage the inside of its neck and cause infection.I tried many many differant food iteams but she would gladly ttake live food but that got very expensive so i was glad she took to the chopped trout and i do know others that will readly except it as well.
sorry to go on but these are the best turtles ever.I hope you ejoy your new pet.
I Will be picking up my new alli snapper in a few weeks time when i get back from florida.I will post some pics of him as soon i get him.
He is A Monster.
Here is a picture of my Matamata last year.

Stunning creatures!

How easy/hard are they to keep?

I remember reading years ago that they were very specific with regards to water pH.
