1 viv why cant tortoise go in them
2 veg why leaves
4 mixing them what's wrong with it

Tortoise have lived years before some people came along made up some silly story about these now every ones copying it staying it i cant stand it!!

like oh why you feeding it that what's it in there for !!!! i cant stand it any longer people buy these pets they don't need people telling them how to make them unhappy poor tortoise needs a life! You buy the pets keep them how you want to keep them! And i had 3 tortoises one died a while ago but still its life he was ill i keep mine in a viv never let them stay in a box for months on end!! i feed mine every think but weeds

i disagree with people keeping any thing how they like. It has to be best for the animal. Animals always come before money/ enclosure.

So are you honestly saying to me that;

before you where born people have kept these in shoe boxes i no a 98 year old tortoise still alive and feeding on veg no viv just a large garden and shed that's all i am saying

But thats just one, hundreds died because our climate is too cold. Of course you will get a small number that will survive its the law of probability. Dnt be so blind

From 1947 untill 1986 the uk killed 15 million tortoise becaus we kept them as we liked! The 90 year old tortoise in a large garden found micro habitats and as it had a entire garden probably got access to weeds and many wild plants.You are able to keep yours as you like. I joined the forum so i could learn from people with much more experence then me. Who tells small tortoise in the wild not to hibernate? they need to do it, its part of their lives so let them.
